The Ceremony of Signing & Completion of key projects of Changzhou National High-tech Zone and the successful trial of the Newtech first carbon production line was held in Newtech on 12 Oct, 2021.Sheng Lei, Deputy Party Secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee & Acting Mayor, Jiangfeng, Member of CPC Changzhou Standing Committee, Secretary of Party Working Committee of Changzhou National High-tech Zone & Secretary of Xinbei District Party Committee and Tan Kunlun, Chairman of Newtech Group Co., Ltd were present at the Ceremony.

 Annual Output of 19,000 tons to meet the urgent market demand for civil carbon fiber

      As a major project in Jiangsu Province, the construction of Newtech project kicked off on September 26, 2020, with a total investment of RMB 5 billion. The annual production capacity of precursor is 38,000 tons, large tow carbon fiber 19,000 tons and composite components 28,000 tons.

      The carbonized production line which was successfully tested this time mainly produces 25K large tow carbon fiber with the modulus 240Gpa and strength 4200Mpa; the output of single line is 3,000 tons per year. Upon completion of the project, Newtech will become a large-scale production base of carbon fiber composite materials in China, with annual sales expected to exceed RMB10 billion, which can effectively meet the urgent market demand in the field of civil carbon fiber.

 Insist on independent R&D and innovation to master the core technology of the industry

     The Newtech Group has been strengthening the independent research and development, and mastered the core technologies of carbon fiber composite materials industry. Due to the complex process of carbon fiber production, the company designed an advanced and reliable carbon fiber production line automatic control system to meet the needs of the device for automatic instrument control. Meanwhile, an integrated chain was tailored according to the high-strength PAN-based large tow carbon fiber, namely, from carbon fiber to fabric, prepreg , carbon fiber pultrusion and composite components, greatly improving the speed and production efficiency of finished products.

The construction start-up of precursor production line to build the whole industrial chain of large tow carbon fiber base

     Mr. Tan Kunlun, chairman of the Newtech Group, announced at the ceremony that precursor  production line will soon be built while striving to make carbon fiber production line efficient. With the completion of subsequent production lines, Newtech will become one of the world's complete industrial chain of large tow carbon fiber composite materials base, and through the integration of the industries such as wind power, automobile, rail transportation and aviation, to create a domestic carbon fiber composite industry cluster with an output value of over 100 billion. The successful trial run of the first carbonization production line of Newtech is a great achievement through one year’s efforts, which marks a very important step for the company in the market. In the future, Newtech will strive to provide low-cost and industrial solutions for the global carbon fiber composite materials application market with passion and confidence.
